MEL Aviation Ltd offer full, in-house, product support documentation for our manufactured Aerospace Ground Equipment (AGE). We can specify, design, prepare and maintain structured product-support documentation using tools including Adobe FrameMaker and SGML. We can also prepare smaller stand-alone product-support documents using Microsoft Word.
SGML and Structured Documentation
Standard Generalized Markup Language (SGML) is used to create platform-independent
structured documents that have a controlled format and structure.
Data Modules
Documentation is organized and created as a series of descriptive and procedural
data modules. For any particular AGE, the complete set of data modules is
sufficient to describe the AGE, its operation, and its maintenance.
ASD-STE100 Simplified Technical English
AECMA Simplified English is a controlled general vocabulary together with a
set of writing rules that help to standardise the language and make users
(especially international users) understand what they read.
